Xibalba "Guerrilla" video premiere

California heavyweights Xibalba release their new video for "Guerrilla."

Xibalba

In January of this year, Pomona, California hardcore/death metal outfit Xibalba released a new album with Southern Lord Records. If you haven't checked it out, the record is titled Tierra Y Libertad and it's predictably heavy. Bastion of music snobbery, Pitchfork.com opined, "the confidence in their playing cannot be overlooked... Helps when you've got sick riffs on your side."

Today we're thrilled to premiere the band's new video for "Guerrilla." The clip was filmed by Nine One Films, directed, shot, and edited Shawn Skadburg and Matt Welch. Have a look below, and if you've yet to purchase Tierra Y Libertad, you can stream and/or buy it here.

Lol unity in the LA hardcore scene ? That's so bullcrap right there lol. LA is filled with hate even if you're different. Lol what a joke of a video. Good band. Wrong message about LA hardcore

the unity/acceptance thing at the beginning was the biggest load of crap I've ever heard, hardcore is the farthest thing from that.

Even if the message is legit, hardcore sadly isn't about unity anymore. It's about who you know, the clothes and cliques. It's like high school all over again,
