At The Drive-In and Refused have both announced upcoming performances. Out of these two high-profile reunions, which band would you rather see write new material?
Unless you reside in a cave, or live in a pineapple under the sea, you've heard (perhaps via this or this) that both At The Drive-In and Refused will both perform at this year's Coachella festival.

Although neither band has announced any plans to work on new music thus far, it's a notion that can't be far from the minds of their respective fans. Of course, that begs the following question:

I'm surprised people feel this way. Both are great bands but at the drive in has more of a creative flow going. I'm happy to see them both back out. Newer bands are just rip offs of bands like these. But then again I'm getting old too!

you know if ATDI wrote another song it would sound like mars vola doe. if refused wrote another song it would probably sound like diet refused which i would prefer to mars voltas.

Love both bands but I want a new Refused album, I'm afraid a new album by ATDI would be polluted by shitty Mars Volta influence (pretentious and boring long solos). By the way, it's a shame to see ATDI, Refused and ATR (even if they sold out) to perform in Coachella to people who don't have a clue, what a waste.

i like how people think that people at coachella don't care about these bands you like. usually they have had sick lineups, the best anywhere, and because you wrote them off as hipster festivals, you automatically write it off. you're just as pretentious as you pretend these people to be. ATDI wins because theyre the only one of these bands that didn't reunite, just took a hiatus. hiatus over, be pumped. zombie refused seem to have lost all integrity here.

This is a tough one. Both bands were great and innovative 12 or so years ago. Excited about both. However, I think Refused pushed the limits more than ATDI did, so they got my vote.

PS: haters go elsewhere to comment.
