Tim Lambesis paid $160,000 to get out of jail
For those who don't understand how bail works, here's a brief summary. To secure his own release, Lambesis would have had to come up with $2 million in cash or property. Once the court case reaches its conclusion, all collateral is returned. In other words, if Lambesis had given $2 million in collateral to the courts, he would have gotten said collateral back as long as he didn't skip town, etc.
However, since Lambesis didn't have $2 million in cash and/or property, he was forced to work with a bail agent. What a bail agent does is accept a percentage of the bail amount (typically 10%) and guarantee that the arrested individual will appear at all required hearings. If the individual does not fulfill his/her obligations, the bail agent will pay the full amount (in this case $2 million) to the court system. In return for taking on the risk, the bail agent does not return the fee. As such, the arrested individual doesn't get the money back.
According to court documents, Lambesis paid $160,000 to All-Pro Bail Bonds. It's unclear whether that amount was paid outright, or if Lambeis entered into a payment plan with the agency (something they offer). Regardless, he apparently received a discount (All-Pro Bail Bonds provides 20% discounts for a host of reasons), resulting in an 8% fee (8% of $2 million is $160,000). Again, that is money that Lambesis will NOT get back under any circumstances.
Even if Lambesis is found 100% innocent of all charges (seems very unlikely), he will be $160,000 poorer (let alone the damage to his "brand"). If found guilty, his freedom and reputation can't be restored at any price.

Nice unbiased reporting, I love when the journalist gives his opinion on the story, I really care what they think.
Lol "journalist" Webby did you get an invite to the white house correspondants dinner?
Who cares about the money that this jackazz has lost? The well being of his wife and children are at risk now that he's out. There have been too many cases of an abusive or vindictive spouse deciding to get back at his wife, children or the world at large for 'ruining his life' (when he ruined it himself) by murdering them.
hahaha^, why doesn't everyone worry about their own lives. its amazing watching the comments on this. This shit happens daily.
