This is really too bad. Phoenix amongst the ashes was a great record, Jade was finally coming into his own, I hope he doesn't honestly think he's going to go Roddy on us though because his skills are still just extreme double bass tempos and blasting which are not serviceable beyond DM. Erik Rutan writes the most emotionally stirring guitar solos, he's a classy player and a classy human being, I'm sure they'll find a replacement, I wish Derek would just crawl back, even if only for one album.
