@duckduckfootloose Where the corruption comes in is this; the Bible is god's word, so if the bible says give 10% of what you earn to the church, thats what God says. Sometimes preachers know that there congregation wont actully look it up, because they're too lazy, so sometimes the preacher says "the Bible says give the church 20% of your earnings."
