Virginia Beach-based metal act The End of the Universe have posted an update regarding the band's general plans to tour and record, as well as the individual members' side-projects.
Official statement:
"We still exist, we're just on hiatus. There will be another TEOTU record. There will be more live shows. We will be kicking your nuts in once again.
Kenneth is touring with Fjord. They are good dudes and are surprisingly swoop-free. Check them out and check the schedule. They were just in Buffalo last night with The End. If you live in VB or thereabouts, they'll be playing Friday in Virginia Beach to wrap up the tour at Club Relevant.
Brett and Josh are seeing how the other half live, rocking in The Crimson Electric. 7" in the works and new mp3s up on MySpace. First show is this Thursday in Virginia Beach at Retro Lounge. Come out and get drunk.
Matt and Josh are also doing some new Tu Madre material this summer. Expect ridiculous levels of groove and severe taint uppercuttage. (MP3s here)
Chase has been breaking cymbals and weak women. He's been jamming some "High on Fire" influenced stuff and we'll update when there's more info on it."
