Official press release:
Indiana thrashers Year Of Desolation have completed recording the band's Prosthetic Records debut album in North Carolina with producer Jamie King (Between The Buried And Me, Through The Eyes of the Dead). The self-titled release will see an early 2007 release, and audio previews will be available shortly.
"Just ask me about the Jack Daniel's bottle, pissing in the parking lot and guitars being flung across the studio," vocalist Chad Zimmerman says of the recording process. "All that aside, Jamie King is a crucial dude, the atmosphere he creates makes for a fucking unforgettable experience! We've all had a blast being out here the past 3 weeks making friends and making the most devastating material we have done to date. The only negative thing I can say about this whole experience: Fuck the mosquitos!!! See you all on the road!"
Year Of Desolation will hit the road with Cerberus and Forever In Terror on the "Cultivating The Masses" US tour upon returning to Indianapolis. The band will then hit the road with label mates Burn In Silence this fall. Dates for that run will be available shortly.
