Explosions In The Sky prepares new album

Explosions In The Sky has completed the writing process for their next album. The new effort will consist of six songs, each ranging from three to thirteen minutes in length. Next month the band will enter the studio with John Congelton in Minnesota to begin recording, with a release tentatively slated for February 2006 via Temporary Residence Ltd.

first first post post Boring band. Post rock by numbers. Were terrible with Four Tet earlier this year. Congelton's the guy who's in the paper chase, no? At least the production will be sharp.

To be fair, Mono's live show is incredibly boring. They have no interaction with each other or the crowd. EITS is humble, and energetic and totally into what they're doing. However, Mogwai is still God of this realm.
