Jade Tree Records adds two bands

Jade Tree Records has officially announced the addition of two new bands to their roster: Seattle's Panda & Angel, and Atlanta's Snowden. Formed in 2004, Panda & Angel are a rock outfit that Jade Tree describes as "haunting and sparse, punctuated by moments of furious distortion. Imagine Cat Power's reticence interspersed between My Bloody Valentine's atmosphere and PJ Harvey’s brutal honesty." The band's self-titled six-song CDEP will hit streets this summer. You can download a track from the band here. Meanwhile, Snowden sounds is described "as a cross between the rhythmic grit of The Yeah Yeah Yeah's and the melodic layers of The Cure." The group's debut album, titled "Anti-Anti," was recorded by Erik Wofford (Explosions In The Sky) and will hit stores later this year. Download one of the band's songs here.
