Angell, the new black metal project from Ihsahn’s son, releases first single

Norwegian black metal icon Ihsahn—best known as the frontman of Emperor—has a son, Angell Solberg Tveitan, who has launched a new project in the vein of his father's work. He's named the project Angell, and its debut release, Veiled by Woe, is available to stream below.
Angell is a 17-year-old Norwegian musician and songwriter with a deep-rooted passion for music. A multi-instrumentalist and Notodden Talents 2024 participant, he has performed in musicals, cover bands, and studio sessions. In 2025, he debuts Veiled by Woe, a self-written and performed four-track project. Now preparing for live shows with a full band, Angell is ready to bring his music to the stage.
