Weezer bassist Scott Shriner's wife shot by police in LA incident and booked for attempted murder

Jullian Lauren, wife of Weezer bassist Scott Shriner, was shot by police during an encounter in Los Angeles and is now booked on attempted murder charges.

The incident began when California Highway Patrol and LAPD officers were searching for suspects involved in a hit-and-run accident that took place on April 8. Three individuals fled the scene, one heading towards a residential area. During the search, officers encountered Lauren in the yard of her and Shriner's home. Lauren emerged from the house holding a gun and repeatedly refused to drop it, despite officers' requests. At one point, she pointed the gun at an officer, prompting police to shoot her in the shoulder. After running back into her home and a 30-minute standoff, she surrendered.

Her injuries were non-life-threatening, and she received medical treatment before being booked on attempted murder charges. One suspect involved in the hit-and-run, who led officers to Lauren's yard, was apprehended, but the other two individuals remain at large
