Gel has possibly called it a day following Japan tour

Update: The band has officially disbanded.

Last night Gel performed at Earthdom in Toyko, JP as part of their 2 night Japanese tour. Following the show it seems like the band has decided to call it quits, according to the Japanese promoter.

Local promoter, Japangigs, posted the clips to social media saying that the performance was Gel's final show as a band.

Oddly enough, in the video posted Gel's founding guitarist, Anthony Webster, is not with the band and instead Ekulu guitarist Connor Jones is filling in. It is rumored Webster exited the band months ago, though nothing was mentioned publicly.

Gel has yet to say anything or make a formal statement, in addition the band has a very busy year lined up with playing Coachella, supporting Spiritbox alongside Dying Wish on their North American run this Spring, a headlining run UK & European run with Anxious, and supporting Volbeat and Bush on their European tour this Fall.

This is a developing story and will be updated as new information is available.
