Greek metal stalwarts Nightfall are set to drop their eleventh album, Children of Eve, marking their darkest and most epic effort yet. Since emerging from Athens' underground in the early '90s, frontman Efthimis Karadimas and company have blended gothic melodies with blackened metal, and this latest release promises thunderous production, electrifying hooks, and a powerful message.
Karadimas, drummer Fotis Benardo, and bassist Vasiliki Biza recently sat down with CNN Greece correspondent Stelios Papagrigoriou at Devasoundz Studios—where Children of Eve was recorded—to discuss the Greek metal scene, the new album's standout elements, mental health, and women's presence in metal.
