System of a Down's Shavo reveals why Seven Hours After Violet scrapped Korn feature

System Of A Down bassist Shavo Odadjian's new band Seven Hours After Violet was initially started as more of a studio project between himself and Michael Montoya of Winds Of Plague. While still figuring out the scope of the band and what music would sound like, they had originally conceived the group to be like the "DJ Khaled of rock", with a bunch of features from prominent artists. Some of these rumored features include Korn's Jonathan Davis, ex-Killswitch Engage vocalist Howard Jones, and System Of A Down's own Serj Tankian

However, they ended up enlisting the help of members of Left To Suffer, and wanted to translate the project to a live setting:

What happened was the music became really interesting and I started wanting to play this live. I was, like, "We should play this live," and at that point having just features on the record wouldn't work out because then how do you play live?

They attempted to retool some of Davis's vocals, but found that it wasn't working out:

Wasn't as good as it should be, because I think Jonathan is amazing. I even spoke to him, we decided if we ever do, we'll write together, not use something that he already had under another rhythm.
