Justice For The Damned drummer Chas Levi gives positive update about cancer struggle

Chas Levi, drummer for Australian deathcore unit Justice For The Damned, has shared an encouraging update on his battle with chronic lymphocytic leukemia, a diagnosis he has been fighting since 2020. Crowdfunding efforts have been ongoing to support him through treatment and financial hardships.
Following the positive news about Levi, the group also was happy to inform fans they will be releasing new music in the following weeks.
The band and Levi expressed gratitude for the continued support from fans and the metal community sharing the following:
Hello friends, before we charge ahead into our announcements for 2025 we want give a massive update for everyone who helped support Chas in his battle with cancer over the last year. Chas is now in remission and will be back on the road with us in 2025 at full strength. THANK YOU to all who supported him and us!
From Chas:
'I wanted to take the opportunity to thank everyone so very much for the support and guidance in the last year or so through my health battles.
To update; After one month, treatment was paused due to adverse side affects. This began a 4 month oscillation between hospital and home for symptom management and diagnosis exploring. With every test under the sun negative and some scary tangents – symptoms progressed to managable and life deescalated to doing my best, waiting it out and accepting disability at home. About 8 months later with great determination and struggle I started to crawl my way out and my health followed.
Since then life has been a new mountain itself but it's come with the greatest appreciation for all I continue to experience – all of this will be reflected in what's to come for Justice thematically and lyrically – I hope in some way it gives people strength when all is lost the way it did for me at my hardest times. My appreciation for all the support through all of it is insurmountable and I look forward to what's to come! See you soon!
Chas'This month, we'll be announcing two tours, playing a show in a city we've never played before, and dropping new music.
Thank you all. See you soon.
