System Of A Down's "Toxicity" crosses 1 Billion views on YouTube

Nearly 25 years after its release, System Of A Down's "Toxicity" keeps stacking numbers. The album's title track just hit 1 billion views on YouTube, joining its 1 Billion Spotify streams milestone from last September.
While impressive, "Toxicity" still lags behind "Chop Suey!", which cracked the YouTube billion mark in 2020 and did the same on Spotify by April 2023. The RIAA last certified Toxicity 3x platinum in 2022, with "Chop Suey!" sitting at 5x platinum.
Despite internal disputes keeping new music on ice, 2025 brings hope for fans—SOAD have announced their most extensive touring plans since 2017. Bassist Shavo Odadjian called it "testing the waters" for potentially hitting the road even harder in the future.
