Planes Mistaken For Stars have dropped of their upcoming European tour with Converge as the result of a family emergency. Modern Life Is War will be taking their place on the March/April tour. PMFS have released the following statement:
"We have to pull out of our March/April Euro tour with Converge. We thought long and hard about the easiest way to break it to everyone without being cryptic or melodramatic. So here goes. We originally were going to pass on this tour because Chuck is expecting the birth of his baby girl in early April. Then, after little discussion and even less fanfare, Jamie decided to once again pick up the bass and fight the good fight with us for four whole weeks across the pond. We picked Jamie up in the midst of our recent tour with High On Fire to start practicing for the Converge tour. On our way back from Chicago we received a distressing phone call. Jamie's father, {and surrogate father to the rest of us}, was back in the hospital and in dire condition. Needless to say neither Jamie nor Chuck are in a position to leave their families at a time like this. And to be quite frank, neither are Matt, Mikey, or I. We are first and foremost a family, so leaving Chuck and Jamie here without us is out of the question. We promise we will be back, guns a blazing, in a couple of months with a whole slew of cool news for all of you. In the meantime please keep Jamie and Chuck in your thoughts and wishes. And thanx to everyone who have supported us as a band, and more importantly as people, for the last six or so years."
