Snot's Mikey Doling asks fans to temper expectations, new vocalist won't be immediately recognizable

Snot is ramping up the anticipation for their upcoming reunion shows by keeping the identity of their new vocalist under wraps—right up until the moment they hit the stage. While fans have been speculating and the band has fueled the fire with teases on social media, it seems the mystery may not lead to the dramatic reveal some are expecting.
Lead guitarist Mikey Doling recently shared an update in a Facebook video, which was transcribed by Blabbermouth, hinting that fans might want to temper their expectations.
According to Doling, the secrecy surrounding the new singer isn't because of a big-name reveal—it's because the vocalist isn't someone fans would immediately recognize.
Doling shared the following:
Hey, what's happening? Mikey here. I wanted to come on here while I'm driving to Las Vegas. I'm doing a lot of thinking and thinking about how grateful I am to have SNOT back.
I'm so fucking excited to get out there and start playing again with my brothers, the original lineup of SNOT, with our new singer, of course, who y'all will know who he is after the January 17th show at the Anaheim House Of Blues Parish room.
I wanted to let y'all know the reason that we haven't let you know who the singer is, is strictly because social media can be brutal and they would just go right to his — I don't know; his Facebook, Instagram or whatnot — and start scrutinizing him before he even got on stage with SNOT.
I'll tell you this: he's no one you know, he's not some big famous rock star or vocalist, because that's what I'm hearing a lot of people are thinking. They're thinking that's the reason we're keeping it a secret. It's not. We found a guy who's extremely talented, extremely cool people, and he just does it right. He's incredible. I am very confident that y'all will be very happy once you see what he does with SNOT.
Anyway, January 17th at the House Of Blues, Parish room, Anaheim, and then the next night, January 18th, at San Diego, Brick By Brick. There are still some tickets left for that show, if you wanna come out. We'd love to see you there. Get those tickets before it sells out, 'cause it's gonna sell out. And then, February 8th, in SNOT's hometown, Santa Barbara, at SoHo. That show is already sold out.
So, yeah, looking forward to getting on stage and kicking some ass for y'all. And I wanna thank you so much for your support. And let's have a kick-ass 2025.

Does anyone who pushing 50 who went to ozzfest 98 as a teen care?
Why is this band still a f*cking thing??? Snot was rock music strictly made for high school students in remedial classes and drug addicted line cooks. Don't these guys have an ounce of self-awareness????
Don't these guys have an ounce of self-awareness???? Clearly not. This is like, what, the 3rd time they've come back? These retarded festivals offer these bands money to play their big mongo fests and then the bands think "oh wow people want to see us" and try touring.
I have no expectations because I haven't listened to this band in over 20 years and we're gonna keep it that way.
Don't get your hopes up guys, we will be playing Snot songs.
I'm 47 and saw Snot at the Ozzfest. Now, I sell goo at Walmart. Shift is going great at the Ottoman location.
