Brand New played a secret "Friends and Family" show in Nashville, TN this past weekend

Lambgoat can confirm through the venue that over the weekend on Sunday, December 15th, Long Island, NY-based emo-alt rock outfit Brand New reunited for a secret show at the Eastside Bowl in Nashville, TN for "family and friends".
Following the release of Science Fiction and their last headlining tour, Brand New has pretty much been quiet following the 2017 accusations of sexual misconduct involving a minor against vocalist Jesse Lacey and subsequent cancelling. Unitl now.
The group resurfaced for the intimate show, which according to Setlist.fm, included a few covers and new material. Attendees were also strictly instructed to not take and photo or videos of the performance.
However, Phil Gornell, the person running sound that evening posted a photo to his IG story of Lacey's rig prior to the gig with the group's song, "Jude Law And A Semester Abroad", which got the fanbase curious.
The show had the original line up of Lacey, guitarist Vincent Accardi, drummer Brian Lane, and bassist Garrett Tierney as shown by this now deleted post.
Brand New/Lacey did something similar last year around the same time, so many fans are left wondering what will come after this event, if anything. Some attendees claim the intimate show was to raise money for charities that are close the Lacey family. In 2021, Jesse and his wife Andrea lost their son Miles and created the charity, Moms Skate Club. You can donate to the charity here.
