Better Lovers play surprise set at Rec Room, Matt Guglielmo of The Acacia Strain fills in on drums

better lovers matt guglielmo 24

Fans at the END, Greg Puciato, Soul Blind, and Fatal Visions show tonight, Friday, December 13th, at the Rec Room in Buffalo, NY, during BLissmas, the Buffalo, NY holiday themed multi-day event, got a surprise set from hosts Better Lovers

Notably, drummer Clayton "Goose" Holyoak was absent, with Matt Guglielmo of The Acacia Strain stepping in behind the kit. Earlier this week, Holyoak revealed that his daughter had been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, prompting him to step away to focus on her care.

Noah Taylor finished out the remaining dates of the group's headlining tour, so the unscheduled set would seem to have been a practice run for their headlining set later tomorrow, Saturday, December 14th, at Riverworks.

Since when was it End's first show? First BLissmas? JFC lay off the airplane glue Greg.

Fatal Visions Buffalo's newest band who opens every big show because they're down with whoever or they book it themselves.

anonymous 89 days ago

^ Still opening. Buffalo's Combust.

How is Greg's plastic surgery on his grille? Is it a success? He looks like he is on a rocketship heading for Saturn, raw dogging and eating the wind shear. You know those old school videos from the 1950s of these dudes faces being peeled back because they are breaking the sound barrier with no wind shield and all they have are goggles on? Thats what Greg looks like.

Keith won. He's opened for known legendary bands on a shed tour and these guys are playing a VFW hall. Keith won.

"Keith won" Have you taken your retard medication today?

anonymous 89 days ago

^^ actually, no. I just got off of my shift at Walmart building my 401k and flirting with MILFs all day. 🖕 🖕🖕🖕

Will Putney vanity project. A 40-something year old living out his touring dreams and bankrolling a bus and crew that he should have done 20-something years ago and relying on connections and overpaying Greg puciato to have the experience of being around him like Johnny depp's Hollywood vampires collection of hired guns. Keith is doing his own thing organically.

Aren't all of their shows surprise sets?

anonymous 89 days ago

People in Buffalo that like good hardcore, metal and punk unanimously agree that Better Lovers absolutely suck and they're just another embarrassing band out of this poor city made for tweens.

anonymous 89 days ago

Goddamn did Keith win. He's not subjecting himself to this busted ass scene anymore.

anonymous 89 days ago

keith buckley here, just finished my nightly douche before angie gets home. appreciate the positive words my friends. CHRIST IS KING

anonymous 89 days ago

This band just did a tour that sold out places like The Metro and Keith Suckleys band who no one even remembers the name of goes on first of 5 bands at 400 capacity venues

anonymous 88 days ago

I don't think Noah Taylor ever joined the band. Jordan said they sent out emails but decided to run Goose's backing drum tracks to finish out the tour.

anonymous 88 days ago

Sorry to hear about this daughter. As long as it's not acute chronic myeloid leukemia, she should be ok in the end. Hope she gets better.
