Converge drummer Ben Koller took to X/Twitter this afternoon to update Converge fans on the status of the band's upcoming album, which will finally follow up 2017's The Dusk In Us. In the latest tweet by the new Pit Diaper spokesman, Koeller shared the group has written 27 new songs, 10 of which are "considered done".

He also goes on to inform that the new tunes sound like "Philly mosh" and "Melvins Stoner Doom".

In the post Koller shared the following:

We have 27  @converge songs, 10 of them we consider "done." All leftover riffs will be auctioned off. We will tell you what they sound like e.g. "Philly mosh" or "Melvins Stoner Doom" but you can't hear them. Kinda like a foreclosure where they don't let you see inside the house

Overthe Summer, Koller also shared some clips from the band's writing/recording session in guitarist Kurt Ballou's God City Studio.

Converge have the following live dates scheduled:

12/14 Buffalo, NY @ Blissmas 2024
05/09 Columbus, OH @ Sonic Temple Art & Music Festival
05/15 Daytona Beach, FL @ Welcome to Rockville
07/25 Cut Bank, MT @ Fire In The Mountains 2025
