Welsh rock outfit Holding Absence have taken to social media to announce the departure of their drummer Ashley Green. They emphasised that there is no bad blood between them, and this was a mutual decision.

today, it is with a heavy heart that we must announce that holding absence and ashley green will be parting ways for the foreseeable future.
importantly, there is no drama or bad blood between us and ashley. he has been the beating heart of our band for 8 years now, and his soul will always be deeply embedded in this band and its music:
truthfully, it is not easy to spend so much time touring and working hard in this industry without it taking a toll on the people behind the scenes. after an extreme few years of touring and growing as people, we believe now that it is healthier for all parties to take some time away from each other.
we will always love ash, and he will always be an important part of our ha family, no matter where our careers take us. we hope you will join us in wishing him all the best as he continues to drum and work in our music industry, and we urge you to keep up to date with his journey via his socials and patreon account.
