Shutdown announce new EP, share title track "By Your Side"

Following last year's Still… Against All Odds EP, Equal Vision Records and NYC hardcore stalwarts Shutdown have revealed that their new six-track EP, By Your Side, will drop on January 17, 2025.

The title track, released today, serves as the emotional centerpiece, addressing themes of support, mental health, and suicide prevention. Inspired by the belief that no one should face their struggles alone, "By Your Side" is dedicated to the memory of Regina Morley, who tragically lost their life to suicide. The accompanying music video, directed by The Jerry Farley.

Post CommentI have not listened to these guys since the early nineties and the lead vocalist still sounds prepubescent.
Back in the 90s, when every hardcore show was big especially in there was a band from NY, these dudes drew like 10 people.
^ They got on all those shows only cuz they were on Victory Records - Shitdown. Vocalist still looks like a cartoon chimpanzee - Curious Mark 🤣
^ but also I have to admit they have made me a fan with this one, and picked up every release of theirs at those shows
