Morning Again, CIV and more join New Found Glory for Florida benefit show

New Found Glory, the pop punk icons who cut their teeth in the south Florida hardcore scene, have announced a show benefiting their home state in the aftermath of the recent hurricanes. The mixed-bill event promises everything from ska to metalcore, with all net proceeds from ticket and t-shirt sales going towards the Florida Disaster Fund.

Named after the New Found Glory song "It Never Snows in Florida," the show will take place at the Orlando Amphitheater on Saturday, December 7th. Special guests include Gorilla Biscuits offshoot band CIV, Orlando pop-punkers Magnolia Park, SoCal ska outfit Save Ferris, and south Florida metalcore band Morning Again.
In their announcement post on social media, New Found Glory had the following to say:
South Florida has always felt like a secluded island, with a 12-hour drive required just to get to another state. But that led to all the local musicians really coming together and supporting each other whether they were a metal band, a punk band, an acoustic artist, a ska band, or a hardcore band! That sense of community is the heart of It Never Snows In Florida: to show what made Florida and growing up in this scene different than anywhere else.
We put together a lineup with artists that might normally never have played together, but if they were from Florida they would have! The party is going down Saturday, December 7th at the Orlando Amphitheater with New Found Glory, CIV, Magnolia Park, Save Ferris, and Morning Again. Floridians know how special it is to put on a sweater to go to an outdoor show in December, and we can't wait to see you all there!
Tickets go on sale at itneversnowsinflorida.com at 1pm ET along with a "Florida Love" t-shirt with 100% of the net proceeds going to the Florida Disaster Fund (Part of Volunteer Florida). Access Code: SNOW
