Fever 333 cancel tour with Zulu, Vocalist Jason Butler addressing struggle with depression

Fever 333 have canceled their fall tour with Zulu and other acts as frontman Jason Aalon Butler focuses on addressing his battle with depression.
This news comes just ahead of the October 4th release of their upcoming album Darker White, which has been teased with multiple singles. Along with the North American dates, the band has also scrapped their planned overseas shows.
Butler shared the following via social media:
Hey everybody, it's your friend Jason Butler. I come to you admittedly a bit uncomfortable and afraid, but grateful for the opportunity to be honest. Recently I've been faced with my most significant and challenging struggle with depression. And in a rather unusual turn of events, I became deeply depressed at a time where one would expect to be excitedly anticipating the release of a new album and a tour to support it.
And while I'm no stranger to these feelings, this time was different. And the mental period of anguish eventually devolved into physical ailments, and that affected not only me, but my family, my friends, and everyone around me, and that caused a pretty obvious turning point. And I realized, you know, I need to, I need to delve into the root cause of my sadness. I probably have needed to do this for, no… I have needed to do this for quite some time. So in light of this, you know, I have to announce that I'll be canceling the Fever tour. And while my instinct is to apologize, I do want to acknowledge, you know, this decision, and my belief in the decision…
Zulu added:
Unfortunately our upcoming run with @fever333 has been cancelled
We want to send all our love to Jason and wish him a well journey to healing and clarity
Trying to navigate touring while also going through depression is one of the hardest things to do. So much respect for being vulnerable and open with us and everyone about this. I know exactly how hard it can be to say admit these things, and we're rooting for you over here absolutely! To everyone that was looking forward to seeing us on this run, we will see you all soon!
California we have something for y'all in November
More to come soon x

Post CommentSadly, Butler had run out of band members to fire, thus the onset of his depression.
Did he just realize he's the vocalist of Fever 333 and now he's depressed?
Here's a thought: Playing a tour can get you out of depression. All these venues should ban this band for costing them other shows.
Friends don't let friends down like that Jason Butler. Don't call someone a friend before you f*ck them in the ass raw
PRE EMPTIVE damage control Wonder if he R'd someone??? Maybe several?
Zulu will still draw packed crowds since they received a 9 on Lambgoat.
Rick here. I get depressed when I run low on nachos. But then I just get more nachos. Problem = solved. I'm fat, yo.
I love touring. Free food, drinks, girls, not being at home, this loser isn't driving. Pussy
Jesus Christ most of us are "depressed" but we put our big boy pants on and carry forth like a fûcking man. I call bullshit.
Depressed his band sucks and the dude is 37 with kids. checks out
I would be depressed too if I had to tour with Zulu.
Rick's stalker here. I am gay for Rick. I want to stuff in his manhood in my mouth, similarly to how Rick stuffs nachos in his.
This is the least surprising news of the week. Completely unreliable asshole, still unreliable and an asshole.
RIck's stalker here. I am gay for Rick. I want to stuff in his manhood in my mouth, similarly to how Rick stuffs nachos in his ^Rick doesn't have the stalker he wishes he had. This is him going anon again. Hey retard, maybe don't do your anon post right next to your logged in post like you always do to make a little less obvious next time. Is there anything you don't fail at?
You want to know what I do when I'm sad or scared? f*cking nothing. 'Cause I'm not a f*cking pussy.
Would be severely depressed and kms if this was my band too
I'd be depressed if my band went from sold out shows to barely selling tickets too!
Imagine putting your mental health above the livelihood of several bands and crew members that were counting on this tour. You could suffer from depression while at home doing nothing, or you could suffer from depression while sharing your 'art' with the world while touring. OR, you could be super selfish and cancel a tour involving 30 or so people.
These artsy fartsy types just get worse and worse.... He's just sad that Tumblr tweens aren't reblogging him anymore
Living on earth in 2024 is depressing for almost everybody. Get over yourself, you gigantic pussy. Also nothing of metal is being reported on here and I hope they get a sick van flip on their next tour.
Imagine being this much of a pussy. Grow up, you f*cking loser.
^ go back to your shift at Walmart you neckbeard loser. Gotta pay your bills for your trailer.
Never heard a Fever 333 song. I checked them out on Apple music. This guy does gay little rap parts. Diddy probably clapped cheeks and its about to come out.... So he canceled.
