Queens Of The Stone Age frontman Josh Homme to undergo emergency surgery, cancels European tour

Queens Of The Stone Age recently canceled their July 5th performance at the AMA Music Festival in Romano d'Ezzelino, IT due to illness, now news comes from the band that Josh Homme will have to undergo emergency surgery and the band has canceled the remaining dates of their current European run.
It is not been confirmed that the July 5th cancellation is related to Homme's heading home for surgery. However, the band did perform the following night on the 6th.
The band shared the following:
Queens are gutted we aren't able to play for you. We apologize for any inconvenience and share in your frustration and disappointment.
"QOTSA regret to announce that Josh Homme must return to the United States immediately for emergency surgery.
Every effort was made to push through and play for you, but it is no longer an option to continue.
