Death Threat breaking up

Connecticut hardcore band Death Threat is reportedly calling it quits, after roughly eight years together. An official announcement hasn't yet been made, but the group will reportedly play their final show on January 29th at the Knights Of Columbus in Wallingford, CT, alongside Madball, 100 Demons, Death Before Dishonor, and others.

m00k 1/5/2005 2:08:39 PM

Wtf? Death Threat? Why not Atreyu? This is crap.

Troydivision 1/5/2005 2:18:41 PM

They should take all of this bands merch off of the shelves in record stores so when I go looking for stuff by the good Death Threat (ex-His Hero is Gone, From Ashes Rise etc.) I don't run into this band's tough guy garbage.

xemoryhardcorex 1/5/2005 2:19:59 PM

you mean deathreat, mr. coolguy.

itsfuckingover 1/5/2005 2:20:29 PM

PaulNJ 1/5/2005 2:53:58 PM

This fckin blows... One of the last real hardcore bands gone

TheWood 1/5/2005 2:58:25 PM

I mean no disrespect to the band...because I liked their style...but seriously, how many times can you talk about staying true to your family before it comes a repetitive?

PaulNJ 1/5/2005 3:07:52 PM

Apparently not as long as some metal"core" bands can write the same sounding whiny breakup songs

nate 1/5/2005 3:14:35 PM

ouch... deathreat is cool too, but... ouch...

buckwheat 1/5/2005 3:18:45 PM

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Mike 1/5/2005 3:23:33 PM

Great band but its good to end it now before they get even more repetitive than they've become over the last few records. I'll try and hit that show up.

xadfx 1/5/2005 3:36:06 PM

Had heard this rumor, now it's official...fck.

paradigm 1/5/2005 3:40:52 PM

theplowking 1/5/2005 5:38:30 PM

blueboggin 1/5/2005 6:57:31 PM

death threat tought guy??? um, no. theyre hardcore. you cant be tough guy and sing about staying to ture to your friends, and having a good time. they are/were a hardcore band, nothing tough about their music. i will miss them!

shaihulud2k1 1/5/2005 7:39:45 PM

As much as I always said they were garbage, I secretly like them. Sucks but oh well. Members of this band will undoubtedly go on to form some other band that everyone will be all over.

huh 1/5/2005 8:48:08 PM

no. my fav band ever is breaking up. im fcking so bummed right now. i cant wait to see their last show, im definently driving out.

clevelandhardcore 1/5/2005 9:15:00 PM

gorilla_nuts 1/6/2005 9:01:02 AM

8 years...good run wish i could have seen them before they ended

34t4v461n4 1/6/2005 9:10:57 AM

death threat = worst vocals in hardcore. i appreciate what they stand for....but if i cant get into the vocals, its a loss cause. 8 years is a good lifetime for a hardcore band though.

xHUEYx 1/6/2005 9:15:37 AM

this sucks bands need to stop braking up

badkarma 1/6/2005 10:30:56 AM

Anyone from CT and anyone who listens to real HxC should be saddened by this. Great band, great people, and the did everything they could for a scene in CT that was quickly dying off. RIP Death Threat. Fuuuuuuuuuuck this sucks.

joeyxairborne 1/6/2005 11:01:22 AM

son of a bitch...

xTheseBrokenArmsx 1/6/2005 11:06:40 AM

sad news, i liked that band. HARDCORE, GOOD FRIENDS, GOOD TIMES!

xtroyx 1/6/2005 11:33:01 AM

sucks. i'm really into the newer stuff and i'll miss the band. awesome last show. i'm jealous of anyone who attends.

pistol_whipped_kiss 1/6/2005 1:14:18 PM

this is so ridiculous AND TERRIBLE.

WithDeadHandsRising 1/6/2005 2:52:51 PM

...What the hell is a "Scull"? Unplug your keyboard.

WithDeadHandsRising 1/6/2005 2:56:03 PM

And as far as "real" hardcore goes, I'm sure there were bands way more influential than Death Threat. I like "real" hardcore just as much as the next guy, but their shows have turned into fcking jokes.

LEX_LUGER 1/6/2005 10:31:57 PM

Death Threat owns all of you hating bitches. I guess I should count myself lucky to see them at Hellfest. :(

boladomhs 1/6/2005 10:56:21 PM
