Drosera unveil music video for new stand alone single "Use Of Force"

Gainesville, FL-based metallic hardcore unit Drosera have released a new single, "Use Of Force", along with a Matthew Zagorski-direct live music video. The new single preludes an incoming tour announcement next month and follows the previously released 3 song EP Visions of a Dying World.

Vocalist Phil Dalton shared the following:

This song was written after Aaron Bushnell set himself on fire and used his last moments to call for a free Palestine.

The image I still can't shake months later is a gun pointed at a burning body. It was all I could think about for weeks. It's just emblematic of how we deal with things in this country. Shoot first, ask questions never.

This is our first video, shot by our good friends Matt Zagorski (Machinist!, Dying Whale) and Jeremy Maguire (who put our first release out on tape through Salvaged Records) during a show with the Cro-Mags at The Backyard in our home of Gainesville, Florida.

This song and several other new ones are going to be on a record we're recording this summer with John Howard (Casey Jones) at War House Recordings, which we're very excited to put out into the world.

In the meantime, we'll be trekking up to Chicago 4th of July weekend for Gungefest and hitting up several other places in the midwest/south on the way, dates to be announced soon. Plenty of other shows on the horizon, just trying to stay as busy as we can.
