The Hate Project drop music video for new single "The Serpent's Grip"

Sweden's The Hate Project dropped a new track, "The Serpent's Grip," set to be featured on an upcoming EP later this year on Seek And Strike. This new single follows their Blessed With Malevolence EP, keeping the same relentless intensity.

The band shared the following:

Our new single, 'The Serpent's Grip', is an intense track without any bullshit, a straightforward sledgehammer in other words. It gives the listener a taste of the sound of our new EP and showcases the raw sound and dark anxiety-filled lyrics. The video itself will be in a format we have never done before where we combine the lyrics together with a great performance video all in an impactful package."

"Our main focus with this EP was to make it hit hard both musically and lyrically. We wanted to further develop our signature sound and keep pushing the combination of groove and heaviness. The collaboration between members of the band and the whole writing/recording process is getting more streamlined with each of our releases. We are following our own path regarding the sound and we are not trying to follow any trends. We love heavy, aggressive and groovy music and that will be showcased in this new offering.

We have found a really good blend between groovy riffs, catchy choruses and heavy-hitting breakdowns that we are proud of! The vocals are also a lot rawer than previous releases, so overall you can say that the songs are combining our signature sound with a little bit extra of everything.

The lyrics follow a more blackened pattern, reflecting on darkness, loneliness and the unknown. Our vocalist Anton is always writing the lyrics based on his thoughts and emotions and turning them into a solid foundation that the band as a collective can refine together.
