The Ghost Inside appear on Las Vegas local news ahead of new album and tour

In November of 2015, metalcore group The Ghost Inside was involved in a fatal wreck near El Paso, Texas, when their tour bus collided head-on with an 18-wheeler, leaving both drivers dead, and 10 injured, including members of the band.

The band underwent years of recovery, with many setbacks along the way. After more than two years The Ghost Inside reconvened on April 17th, for their first official practice session since the accident. The band later returned to the stage on July 13th, 2019.

In February of this year, the band released a new single "Wash It Away", and announced a new album titled Searching for Solace, which is due out this Friday, April 19th, via Epitaph Records

Along with the record, the band is kicking off a tour this Friday in their new hometown of Las Vegas. The band formed in Los Angeles, but all the members moved to Las Vegas eventually.

Today, April 15th, all five members appeared on their local news station Vegas Fox 5 KVVU-TV to talk about their recovery, subsequent comeback, and the band's move to Vegas.

Regarding the move, vocalist Jonathan Vigil explained:

Jim moved here 10 years ago and the band originated in Los Angeles. Just from touring over the years it just became kind of a lot to be all across the country. So, one by one we moved here, and it's been great. Vegas is a really cool place to live.

Bass player Jim Riley commented on the band's recovery:

It's been a long journey… The physical recovery was a couple of years, but I think the emotional recovery, and getting back to the band's career on stage has been interesting and hard a times. But we have each other, and we have a great community of fans and friends and family who supported us and made sure we got back out there.

Drummer Andrew Tkaczyk, who lost his leg as a result of the accident, said:

It was a really hard battle, for a long time. But we had each other, we had our fans, we had our family that kept us going through the whole thing. It took a while, but a lot of patience and a lot of hard work got us to where we're back at it 100% like Jim just said.

We're very grateful we're very thankful to be doing it still. We feel lucky that we're able to put a new record out and still do this at any capacity.
