My Dying Bride cancel all 2024 dates, will be replaced by Agalloch for Maryland Deathfest 2024

It appears that there's some activity stirring in the My Dying Bride camp. Today, on Tuesday, April 9th, Maryland Deathfest shared a brief update explaining that My Dying Bride has withdrawn from the festival, and they will be replaced by extreme metal band Agalloch. The festival also went of to claim that My Dying Bride has cancelled all 2024 events, though this is unconfirmed.
Maryland Deathfest XIX is taking place at the Ram's Head Soundstage in Baltimore, MD over the weekend of May 23rd to 26th. Tickets are available here.
This news comes just before the release of My Dying Bride's fourteenth studio album, A Mortal Binding, which is scheduled to be released through Nuclear Blast Records in ten days, on April 19th.
According to the update from Maryland Deathfest organizers, there has been a lack of communication from the band or their team, as they have reportedly not responded to emails for the past few months.
The update reads as follows:
LINEUP UPDATE:
After 2 months of not receiving responses to our emails, My Dying Bride have recently informed us that they are cancelling all of their confirmed shows in 2024.
We suspect that the band will be posting about this soon, but we're not waiting around for that because the fest is next month and you deserve to know now.
In addition to lost money and approved visas that will now go unused, our frustration stems mostly over the fact that there are fans who organized travel around their appearance at MDF, only for the band to cancel in the 11th hour without offering a legitimate reason for doing so.
Despite the short notice, AGALLOCH have confirmed to fill the vacant slot on Friday 5/24.This will be an exclusive East Coast appearance for the band - their first such appearance since 2014.
As of now, My Dying Bride has not made a formal announcement regarding this matter.
