Escape Artist Records signs Collapsar

Lafayette, Lousiana band Collapsar has officially joined the Escape Artist Records roster. Featuring former members of Icepick Revival, the group was formed in 2002, and according to the label, "Imagine a mix of 70's prog (ala King Crimson), the blistering riffing of 'Ridethe Lightning' era Metallica, the technical prowess of Don Cabellero or Breadwinner, the rocking mayhem of The Fucking Champs, with a dash ofspace rock and metalcore rolled into one." Decide for yourself by checking out some of their material here. The band's self-titled, debut album will be available on February 15, 2005.

2nd view. If that's what they really sound like, then they will be great.
