Slayer guitarist's wife clarifies return, "This isn't a tour, its just some dates"
Lisa Holt, wife of Slayer guitarist Gary Holt, has stood by the band's choice to come together this fall for a pair of headline festival appearances, breaking their five-year hiatus since concluding the "farewell" tour in 2019.
The announcement revealed that Holt, along with bassist/singer Tom Araya, guitarist Kerry King, and drummer Paul Bostaph, will take the stage at Chicago's Riot Fest on September 22nd and Louisville's Louder Than Life on September 27th. These performances are being promoted as Slayers's first shows since November 2019.

Yes,it's true..and an exciting adventure for the band and fans ! To all the people saying "they are liars" "they must have ran out of money" "its not Slayer without so and so" ..I have an idea for you all...DON'T GO.. and for all the people who did go to the final tour dates and enjoyed it...awesome!! This isn't a "TOUR" it's some dates..and GREAT NEWS!!! And everyone that thinks they know all the inside info..you can't possibly know.so just enjoy the fact that this amazing band will play some amazing shows this year...go or don't..nobody cares!!!!!

This comment is way late, but Lisa Holt posted this on HER Facebook page, not to a reporter or group forum, and what's with all the hate??? Jealous or something, then Gary stands up for his wife (as a man should) and is shot down. They interact with the fans, but the way a lot are behaving, it won't last.
