Holding Absence vocalist Lucas Woodland to sit out Baltimore show due to sickness

Lucas Woodland

Holding Absence's lead vocalist Lucas Woodland has announced the band's withdrawal from their upcoming 'The Noble Art of Self Destruction' show in Baltimore due to health reasons. Currently, the band is headlining the tour with Casey, Capstan, and Acres. In the statement, the singer cited the flu as the cause of his voice loss.

Despite taking precautions to maintain his health and voice throughout the tour, Woodland says that the last two shows in Toronto and Montreal may have been performed against his better judgment.

However, he did commit to trying to resume the tour for the remaining shows in New York, Philadelphia, and Worcester.

Woodland shared:

Hey guys, it is with my most sincere apologies that I have to announce that Holding Absence will not be playing tomorrow's show in Baltimore, however Casey, Capstan and Acres will be playing as scheduled. We wanted to announce this news asap, so that everybody had at least over a days notice.

I have wrapped myself in cotton wool for this entire tour to make sure my health and voice were intact for every show, but sadly I have caught an unfortunate flu and it has completely wiped my voice.

Truthfully, I maybe shouldn't have played the last two shows even... As our fans in Toronto and Montreal can attest, I gave it my all, but sadly I have nothing left to give for tomorrow's show.

As for the three remaining shows in New York, Philadelphia and Worcester, I am doing everything I can to rest up and be back for those shows, as scheduled. Thank you so much for your understanding, we'll make up for it soon. x

The remaining shows on the tour are as follows:

02/13 Baltimore, MD @ Baltimore Soundstage
02/14 New York, NY @ Gramercy Theatre
02/16 Philadelphia, PA @ The Foundry
02/17 Worcester, MA @ The Palladium
