My Dying Bride announce new 'A Mortal Binding' album, unveil first single "Thornwyck Hymn"

British death-doom pioneers, My Dying Bride, have unveiled details about their forthcoming 15th studio album, A Mortal Binding, set to drop on April 19th via Nuclear Blast Records. The announcement was coupled with the release of a new single, "Thornwyck Hymn", accompanied by a music video directed by Daniel Gray.
My Dying Bride's Aaron Stainthorpe provided insight into the song's narrative, referencing a haunting coastal village plagued by the forces of the sea.
Set upon the rugged coast of Yorkshire, Thornwyck village has spent an eternity being haunted by the chill waters that wash it's shore – and the hidden folk who dwell in the salty depths.
Woe betide anyone who fares into the briny sea, or even steels to close to it's edge for they may never set foot back on mother earth.
The album, available for pre-order here, comprises seven tracks, offering a blend of distress, horror, and funerary elements.
A Mortal Binding formats:
CD jewelcase
Vinyl 2LP gatefold - green
Vinyl 2LP gatefold - red w/ black smoke

Just found it kinda bland. I still like them but miss when they'd do more heavy stuff.
Another band that used to be great now running on fumes. Last good album was near 20 yrs ago.
