Mercyful Fate split with bassist Joey Vera

Mercyful Fate has announced that they have parted ways with bassist Joey Vera. The split seems to have been an amicable one, as noted by the band's frontman, King Diamond. 

Vera had been with the band since 2019, replacing the late Timi "Grabber" Hansen. The band toured with Becky Baldwin in 2022 when Vera sat out of a tour. As of now, there has been no announcement regarding Vera's official placement. 

Says King Diamond:

Our friendship and respect for each other will always remain the same, and we all sincerely wish each other the absolut best for the future.
