Warforged reissue debut EP 'Essence of the Land (Redux)'

Chicago, IL progressive death metal outfit Warforged have reissued their 2014 debut EP as a remixed, remastered and partially re-recorded version titled Essence of the Land (Redux). 

Below is a band statement on the release. 

Ten years ago - I don't think a single one of us knew or expected that the songs on Essence of
the Land would catch on like they did. The only pure intention I remember was to make
something that sounded unique while aiming to write the best metal songs that we could.

The initial idea came together when discussing a potential split EP release with The Zenith
Passage and Acrania - but soon we realized Essence became a concept of its own while these
other bands flourished on their own paths.

Within the last decade, this band has gone in directions I never would have expected, all the
way from our growth as artists, the touring opportunities we've had as well as the faces that
have come and gone within, to all of the music we've released since. But we wouldn't have
any of this without the songs that make up Essence of the Land.

So here we are, a decade later - with so much change over time. As a thank you, and a
celebration of life for us, we've decided to upload our face-lifted version of Essence of the
Land to all streaming services.

This EP changed the entire direction of my life, and might have been the first time I felt like I
was truly a part of something special on a creative level. Even with a song like Two Demons,
I find myself relating to the idea within my own life more now than ever.

If these songs resonated with you on any level, or you're hearing this for the first time - this
release is for you, as a thank you from the bottom of my lil heart for everything that you've
helped Warforged become in my life over the last ten years.

Besides, if you really know us, you know we still have so much more to say - and we'll be
kicking and screaming that shit into 2024 and well beyond.
