Infant Island premiere "Unrelenting", second new single from upcoming album

Infant Island has premiered thesecond single from their upcoming third album, Obsidian Wreath, a record that explores themes of navigating a world in decay. The record, written during the pandemic and set to be released on January 12, 2024, reflects on the challenges posed by global events. Despite confronting the hopelessness of societal decline, the album holds onto a paradoxical optimism that arises from a condition of absolute pessimism. The band's unique songwriting blends Virginia screamo with the emotional intensity of American Black Metal, seamlessly moving between various heavy genres. 

Obsidian Wreath serves as a contemplative exploration of community and artistic singularity, inviting listeners into a scene that embraces its aesthetic harshness. The album, produced by Matthew Michel and featuring contributions from various artists, is a relentless and ever-shifting composition that delves into the question of how to continue living in the current state of the planet. With features from Harper Boyhtari and Logan Gaval of Greet Death, Andrew Schwartz from .gof from god, as well as contributions from Undeath, King Yosef, For Your Health, Senza, Malevich, Mikau, and more.
