Devildriver guitarist announces new solo project Verona on Venus, releases first single

Longtime Devildriver guitarist Mike Spreitzer has announced his new solo project Verona on Venus. The project has Spreitzer stepping away from the groove metal sound he's been known for over the last 20 years and instead, exploring goth metal and industrial.
The project also has former Devildriver drummer Austin D'Amond performing on select tracks as well as producer Steve Evetts assisting with recording.
Along with the announcement of the new project, Verona on Venus released the single "Rodent" along with a music video. The debut album, Popular Delusions, releases Jan 19th and features an Acid Bath cover.

Post CommentNothing near gothic or industrial. Only the usual chugging and some wannabe AIC singing.
"Nothing near gothic or industrial. Only the usual chugging and some wannabe AIC singing." Yeah, I'd like to know what planet this is considered goth or industrial on. I shouldn't be surprised one of the devildriver guys is this retarded though.
Name sounds like a hipster pizza joint in Austin
^^ Veronica Mars was the singer in Buried at Birth.
Verona on Venus. What is this? An Australian screamo band from 2004?
I got lucky to have the opportunity to meet Mike Spritzer. I went VIP to Devildriver in Colorado. What an experience. All the best to the greatest Metal band. You guys are amazingly skilled and perform a great show
