Vocalist Derek Barnett has decided to leave The Great Redneck Hope for personal reasons. Here's a statement from the band regarding the matter:
"This was a really hard decision for everyone to make and one that Derek dealt with more than anyone, but he really would like to concentrate on going back to school and dealing with his personal life right now. We loved having Derek in the band and it mos def won't be the same. While it sucks that this had to happen, it did happen without bad blood, and we're all really thankful for that."
Look for the group to announce a replacement in the near future. Otherwise, the band is currently booking a winter tour and will soon be recording for their upcoming split with The Assailant.
