Issues officially call it a day, announce final three farewell shows

Issues has declared their disbandment following three concluding performances in early 2024.
The band attributes their decision to issues arising from the pandemic and the dismissal of their vocalist, Tyler Carter, in 2020 due to allegations of sexual misconduct and grooming. The group's most recent release was the 2019 album Beautiful Oblivion.
The band stated the following:
Issues has been a central figure in our lives since 2012," wrote the band. "We've played countless shows, toured almost every continent, met thousands of people, and made so many friends in our peers and travel companions. The importance of this band to our lives cannot be overstated. So many of you were right there with us.
2020 hit us as hard as it could possibly hit a band. Tours canceled after we paid the deposits, new album cycle cut short, and the last any of you guys heard from us was when we fired our singer. All of these were incredibly traumatic experiences, not only for us, but also the fans to whom our music means the most. Life changed for the three of us after 2020 in significant ways that made making Issues our full time job impossible, but it doesn't feel right to end our story in tragedy. We feel very strongly that the legacy we want to leave be a positive one.
These shows are the final chapter in a long history of pushing the limits of composition, musicianship, and culture in every way we could. We want them to contextualize our body of work over the controversy and member changes and gossip and bullshit and to stand as a monument to the 3 real muffuckas still standing, the music we're so proud of, and the fans still with us. If this band has ever meant anything to you we want you to be proud of being a part of this too. Proud of the gigs you've seen, the tattoos you got, the friends you made. So we're putting this shit to bed in true Issues fashion. Very, very loudly.
Tickets for the final three shows are available here.
01/19 Anaheim, CA @ House Of Blues
01/20 Chicago, IL @ House Of Blues
01/27 Atlanta, GA @ The Masquerade

Post CommentBest band of the last decade. Easily more influential and better songs/musicians than any of the BS "real hardcore" bands that every try hard poser likes to jock. Bane, Have Heart, Converge, TUI, Cold as Life, etc I could go on forever could all learn a lot from these guys.
This is the band that sounds like 98 degrees with djent parts right?
Band fell apart because they threw their friend of years, plus whole reason they even have a career under the bus on some bs allegations. Nearly 4 years later no proof, no charges. Dudes are rats.
They tanked themselves over unproven allegations. The music is too gay for me, but they were super talented.
looks like issues has some issues. i bet they suck and ive never even heard them
Imagine believing accusations over a guy in your actual band. Bunch of assholes. Break up harder.
Yo, they have a show in Anaheim, then Chicago the next day? They gonna fly just for one show?

Over ten years is way too long to dedicate to this trash. Good for you guys finally realizing this is a waste of time. No one will remember your band beyond this.
