Singer/songwriter Frank Ocean appears to enjoy to an occasional heavy track every once in a while. The 36-year old Grammy award winner recently shared a quick photo via his Instagram story seemingly of him driving and showing that he is listening to UK's nu-metalcore unit Loathe.
Frank Ocean is the latest Pop/Hip-hop star to show love to the heavy underground. Just this past August, Billie Eilish gave It Dies Today a mention in her IG story as well. In April, Nita Strauss shared that pop-star Demi Lovato (whom Strauss played guitar for on tour) introduced her to Bodysnatcher.
Probably, one of the biggest champions of hardcore currently would be Post Malone. Malone is known for attending many rock and heavy music events. Just in the past year he has popped up at Speed, Drain, and Militarie Gun shows.
Lastly, although he isn't a young pop-star, Academy Award Nominated actor Michael Shannon showed up at a recent He Is Legend show.
