Maul announce EP and tour with Sentenced 2 Die and Worst Behavior, share new music video

With the release of their Seraphic Punishment full-length debut in 2022, North Dakota's Maul made an instant impression on the US death metal underground, one they'd been building previously via various demos, splits, and EPs. Subsequent heavy touring all over the country further embedded the band's Midwest death stylings with intense live gigs and frontman Garrett Alvarado's menacing presence.

20 Buck Spin picked up the band on the strength of that first album and while the band painstakingly constructs their new full-length, they offer up Desecration And Enchantment to the hordes, signaling the direction of things to come and to supply some blood to the eager zombies awaiting a new album.

Desecration And Enchantment delivers three songs, one of which will only be included on the cassette version of the record and not available anywhere digitally. The songs were captured in May 2023 at Signaturetone Recordings in Minneapolis (Ulthar, Obsequiae, Sunless), recorded, mixed, and mastered by Adam Tucker. The songs feature guest synth and sample work by Isthmus of Styx, and the EP is completed with cover artwork by S. Deloria Black Wolf. 

The new video for "The Sacred And The Profane" was shot and edited by Samuel Thomas Claeys with additional footage by Alex Lehmann and Gibson Huynh.
