Wreckage/Anxious bassist Sam Allen breaks leg at TIHC, GoFundMe set up
Over the weekend This Is Hardcore fell upon Philly having hordes of hardcore bands and fans descend on the city in what some would say looked like the Tasmanian Devil whirlwind, you know from the cartoons, the huge spinning dust cloud image should pop in your head.
Over the weekend Connecticut hardcore band Wreckage performed on day 2, Saturday, and during their performance bassist Sam Allen broke his leg just below his knee causing him to require surgery and lengthy rehab.
A GoFundMe has been set up here to help with the costs stacking up from the incident. Allen plays in the band Anxious.

Last weekend, while performing with Wreckage at TIHC, my friend Sam from Anxious broke his tibia right beneath the knee joint. He is going in for surgery again next week to have the bone set with a metal plate and some screws.
This is another setback for Sam, he just recovered in June from a surgery he had on the same leg in April. The doctor is now saying he will be off of his feet for at least six more weeks following this surgery. Unfortunately, this means he will have to miss an Anxious tour this fall that was going to help pay his rent for the next few months, and also prohibits him from getting another job.
Currently, he has no idea what he's looking at in the way of medical bills which will definitely be quite a burden on top of his normal living expenses while he is out of work for most of the rest of this year. Let's pitch in and ease his financial stress so he can focus on his recovery. Small or large, every contribution counts. Let's help get Sam back on stage where he belongs!
