Yesterday, on the way to The Regency Ballroom in San Francisco, Blackbraid's van transmission broke, forcing the band to put up a GoFundMe in order to make it to the last two dates of the Decibel Magazine Tour with Dark Funeral, Cattle Decapitation, and 200 Stab Wounds in San Francisco last night, and Los Angeles today.

Luckily, the band was able to raise funds very quickly and the band made it to the show in San Francisco, and will make it to LA tonight.

The full GoFundMe post read:

We are Blackbraid, an indigenous black metal band from the heart of the Adirondacks. We are here humbly asking for help repairing our van's transmission so we can play our last two shows and return home to Los Angeles safely.

We ask for enough to

- repair our van
- tow it to the nearest shop
- get alternative transportation to San Francisco and Los Angeles if the van can't be repaired in time

UPDATE 6/9/2023 4:24 PM
thank you so much for your support and kindness. The van will not be ready in time for either of the remaining shows of the tour. As a result, we will have to rent another vehicle for the journey to San Francisco and then Los Angeles. We will then need to arrange transportation back to Vacaville to pick up the van if it can be repaired so it can be brought back to Los Angeles

This could have been a tour-ending disaster for us: instead, your support has made it possible for us to bring blackbraid to the bay and to LA: we are extremely humbled and grateful.

Lambgoat attended the show, and just happened to capture Sgah'gahsowáh burning sage:
