Royal Blood give middle fingers to the crowd, call them "pathetic"
The last time we updated you on rock band Royal Blood was when they joined At The Drive-In to tour the UK. However this weekend at the Radio 1 Big Weekend show held in Dundee, Scotland on Sunday they failed to impress the audience, and the band wasn't too happy about it. As a result, the band stormed off stage, middle fingers up.
While addressing the crowd at the beginning of the performance, vocalist Mike Kerr asked who likes rock music only to receive a lukewarm response from what Kerr says sounded like "nine people." The lack of enthusiasm from the audience seemed to be taking a toll on the band's performance.
Throughout the set, the band was greeted with weak applause, leading Kerr to ask a cameraman to clap for them:
"We're having to clap ourselves because that was so pathetic. Will you clap for us? Will you clap? You're busy. Can you clap?"
"Yes, even he's clapping. What does that say about you?"
Finally, the band had enough, walking off stage, with middle fingers raised in the direction of the audience.
Even though Royal Blood had released a single "Mountains at Midnight" from their upcoming fourth album Back to the Water Below last week, it seemed Dundee's audience failed to appreciate the band's live performance. Whether Mike Kerr or Royal Blood will ever perform for a Radio 1 crowd again or not remains to be seen.

Todd Jones in for Vogel who is on assignment (Memorial day floor buffing time and a half). That's how all shows should end. It's nauseating when the singer goes on and on after the last song, "thank you, we love you so much" etc. That audience, full of morons as far as the eye can see, deserve that frontman's bravado and attitude. In the janitoral world, we give that same gesture if we see someone has been tampering with our supply closet. And tip of the hat to the drummer, who appears to be motioning to some ho out in the crowd that he's down with providing Linguistic services of the Cunning variety. He'll be able to outrun future accusations since he doesn't look like a mongrel. I can say that the one time I tried giving oral gestures to a female middle schooler I was written up by the head janitor, and I won't mention any names, but other janitors (okay it was Vogel and a guy from herod) gave me heck for it, even filled some of my cleaning bottles with clam juice. 🦪💦 Not cool.

What a pussy. When DEP opened for System of a Down back in 2001/2 they were met with almost silence on most dates, and that didn't stop them. And that was the at a time when "rock" music was hugely popular, and when SOAD were just blowing up.
Yep now they will go viral LMAO. You can hear plenty of people cheering. I'm certain that a few pronouns untucked for them.
