
Before embarking on their first U.S. tour with Unearth and High Command, The Halo Effect (consisting of Mikael Stanne, the vocalist of Dark Tranquility, and former members of In Flames including Jesper Strömblad, Peter Iwers, Daniel Svensson, and Niclas Engelin) decided to enter Crehate Studios in Mölndal, Sweden to record "new magic".
In February, the band showcased two new songs during live performances, indicating that new music from The Halo Effect may be released soon.
