Stray From The Path's Craig Reynolds gives insight on Leeds O2 Academy merch cut

The debate surrounding merch cuts has been gaining momentum on a weekly basis. Stray From The Path's drummer Craig Reynolds, who also serves as the host of The Downbeat Podcast, recently contributed to the conversation by tweeting about the band's latest performance.
Currently on a tour supporting Beartooth and Motionless In White in the UK and Europe, the band performed at the O2 Academy in Leeds, UK last night. Reynolds took to Twitter to shed some light on the merch cut system at the venue.
According to Reynolds, the O2 Academy requires bands to use their in-house merch person to sell merchandise, and this comes with a 25% cut of the total amount earned. He went on to explain that after all the necessary cuts have been taken, the band is left with a profit that is sometimes lower than that of everyone else involved in the show.
