Monuments won't sell merch at their Athens, GR show due to rising fees

Every few years the talk about merch cuts gets swirled up again, currently in the post pandemic and shut down world those conversations have been coming up a lot more frequently.
Progressive metal outfit Monuments are one of those band's that has been vocal about this subject as they are currently on tour in Europe (supporting Leprous and Kalaandra) and seem to be dealing with higher than usual cuts.
Just the other day, February 27, the band shared a screen shot on social media showing what was owed/taken from the band after playing their show in Milan, IT. The band stated that a whopping 47% was taken out of merch cuts leading to the amount of €484.22 (Euro) which when converted to USD is, $512.59.
Just a few short days later it would look as if the band has had enough of dealing with those cuts and fees. Today the band announced they will not be selling any merchandise at their Athens show in Greece tonight at Gargin. Instead they have asked attendees and fans who wish to support the band to purchase merchandise from their website for a fairer price, here.
