Wolves At The Gate to release holiday EP, share single

Wolves At The Gate are getting into the holiday spirit — albeit in a thoroughly metallic way. The band will release a holiday EP, titled Lowborn, on November 18 via Solid State. The EP features three previously released tracks, along with two new songs.
To celebrate the release, and ultimately, the season, the band has released a visualizer for "Dark Cold Night".
The band shares:
"We've always liked the challenge of writing 'Christmas' songs that break the norm of what we have come to expect in a song inspired by the holiday," the band says. "There are so many more emotions and sounds that can communicate the heart of what gets lost in the commercialization of what is actually a historic celebration. With 'Dark Cold Night,' we enjoyed exploring how the world would perceive the declaration that a messiah would come even though there had been prophetic silence for hundreds of years. Putting ourselves in that perspective gave us a springboard to create a song that we feel is emotive and unique within the Christmas narrative of promise and redemption."
Wolves At The Gate's Lowborn EP tracklisting:
1. Lowborn
2. Dark Cold Night
3. O Holy Night
4. Come Thou Long Expected Jesus
5. The King
